About DAX

DAX is a generic term nowadays and covers everything we DO, as well as who and what we ARE. First, you may be interested to learn a little-known fact: DAX is an evolutionary product of DACS which, long ago and far away, was an acronym for Du Vall Associates Collection Specialists. One of my earlier business activities was that of founding a state-wide network of debt collection agencies in Michigan. It was the state’s largest and one of the country’s most successful. We had branches in every major city.

On stationery, forms and such we shortened the long company name to DACS. Concurrently, I started the publishing business and at first, called it The DACS-America Group, as we had several other different business entities under that umbrella, as well, including beauty and dress shops, a printing company, residential apartment rentals, etc. In time, when I found that writing and publishing were the only things that truly fascinated me, we liquidated all other business entities to concentrate on my true passion.

It was then that we discovered most people pronounced the acronym DACS (as) ‘’dakes'’ which startled me, as we had always pronounced it to rhyme with axe - sort of an inside joke, as in, ‘’Pay your bill or the DACS may fall on you, etc.'’

Suffice to say, DACS quickly became DAX - and the rest is history - still unfolding, as we speak!

Furthermore . . .

Dean F. V. Du Vall, Sr. is the founder, Executive Director, Head Honcho, Chief cook and bottle-washer and referred to fondly as the ol’ Dax-Duffer, the original DAX-DOER and a few other choice terms that won’t be repeated here! He was born on Valentine’s Day, 1940 and will never let you forget it - especially, each year around Valentine’s Day! ('’Chaaaw-klet!'’) Because of the birth date, his father, the late Marceillus F. Du Vall, (a linotype specialist by trade) rushed into the hospital room and informed all that he was adding a second middle name to the one already selected (his own, by the way - Francis). Yep . . . Valentine!

You may see in a number of places - especially, on the web, where the name appears as just Dean F. Du Vall - and in that case, generally, without the Sr. suffix, as well. That’s because he always hated the second middle name of Valentine (even more than the FIRST Middle name!) and refused to use it until his father died on DFVD’s birthday, February 14, 1974. He decided the old man may have done that deliberately to protest the fact that his wish to have Valentine be used in the full name had never been honored.

Thus, DFVD started to officially include the ‘’V'’ and later, also added the Sr. when Dean Jr. started becoming active in a similar field of writing and publishing, and it became obvious that people were confusing the two. Indeed, when Dean Jr. died of myocardial infarction in 1998 shortly after turning 40, Dean Sr.’s wife, SuEllen received a number of condolence cards, assuming that it was Sr. not Jr. who had entered that great mail order firm in the sky. There is also a Dean III who, at 28, holds the state of Michigan title for men’s body-building and is currently in college studying criminal justice.

Here is standard ‘’boiler plate'’ data on DFVD which has appeared about a jillion times in the world media over several decades:

During an illustrious career that began in 1962, Du Vall has established an internationally recognized business based on a singular premise: Helping other men and women in their quest for PERSONAL SUCCESS. Starting at age 22, without money, formal education or training, he parlayed a single used postage stamp into a far-flung, international ‘mail order empire.’

By age 30 he was lauded as a self-made millionaire by Dun & Bradstreet. With several dozen worldwide best-sellers under his belt, Du Vall went on to lecture, conduct seminars and travel the globe to spread his message of hope and prosperity for the common person.

His books, articles, speeches, quotations and other writings have appeared in such diverse media as PARADE Magazine, SUCCESS, TV GUIDE, WALL STREET JOURNAL, ENTREPRENEUR, WRITER’S DIGEST, INCOME OPPORTUNITIES, ROBB REPORT, LOS ANGELES TIMES, INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE and hundreds more.

He has served as editor for several popular periodicals including the venerable DAX MONEY-MAKERĀ® CONFIDENTIAL , PERSONAL SUCCESS - THE NEWSLETTER, and more recently the popular on-line weekly e-MEGA-zine www.DAXRICH.com

His writings have been used in numerous style and content workshops and accredited courses at California State University, UCLA, Fordham, University of Illinois and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Rather than remain static in just the one area of expertise where he has reigned as leader for over four decades, Du Vall became multi-dimensional some years back, first as a novelist with ‘’The Big Dream,'’ a political intrigue caper, (Published by Lyle Stuart, Inc., New York) plus, the Derek Dax mystery/adventure series ('’The Enchanted Cottage'’ and ‘’Class Prophecy: Murder!'’)

In 1991 he released a few of his private paintings and the name ‘du Vall’ became synonymous with striking abstract expressionism in the global art community. His paintings (see www.4-ArtSake.com), which fetch as much as $25,000.00, have been eagerly purchased for investment and appreciation by leading entertainers, celebrities and art aficionados in Europe, Asia and the U.S.

In his dual role as celebrated author and painter, Du Vall continues his obsession with making all good things available to those who deserve the best, with fresh, exciting wealth-producing programs that he personally devises, thoroughly tests and produces only when he is certain of their superior and significant value to others.

Some of his works have become veritable household words including, ‘50 Roads To Riches,’ ‘$100,000 In 90 Days,’ ‘Personal Success Strategies of Today’s Young Millionaires,’ and dozens more. His latest and most revealing, ‘’DAX Ultimate Millionaire Wealth-Builders!'’ long awaited by eager DAX-DOERS, was created, in Du Vall’s words, ‘’To present my closely guarded personal ‘business bonanzas’ to a few other good people before it’s too late.

‘’I'm making available ALL of the extraordinary business opportunities which I have always kept in reserve for myself - but for various reasons, never fully implemented. I truly believe, without any reservations whatsoever, that these unique concepts are viable, worthy of any serious entrepreneur’s most careful consideration and destined to help create a number of brand new world-famous multi-millionaires.'’

The name of this link was ABOUT DAX. Here’s what we really are all about:

The famous DAX Motto that often appears in our Mission Statement and elsewhere, sums up succinctly what we at DAX are all about: It has been our lifetime work to help, inspire, motivate and sometimes, gently push other good men and women from all walks of life to attain whatever level of Personal Success they desire.

Some people think that just means a mutual quest for money, but that is far from the facts! In our mind, a true measure of success incorporates all the good and wonderful things life on this little planet affords each of us - if we will just dedicate ourselves to discovering ways to get whatever it is we set our sights upon. Generally, that includes peaceful relationships with those we care about, and just as significantly, at times, with those we’d rather not have anything to do with!

It means being a good citizen in our own community as well as that of the world. It enlivens and incorporates the Golden Rule by actually doing unto others as we would hope and expect them to do unto us:

‘’Treat ‘em right and by golly, more often than not - they, in turn, will treat YOU the same!'’ Everybody’s happy - all’s well with the world . . .

To date, that policy has worked very nicely - for us, and for the countless numbers of other ambitious and decent people around the globe who are proud to call themselves DAX-DOERS!
